On Wednesday, July 26, Einstein Healthcare Network sports medicine specialist Daniel Morrissy, DO, responded to questions about avoiding and treating the common mishaps in youth sports during a live chat.

Dr. Morrissy is board-certified in emergency medicine with a special interest in sports medicine. He serves as assistant team physician for many professional and college level sports teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Flyers.

Dr. Morrissy, a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his internship and residency in emergency medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center. He furthered his medical training with a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania.
