MossRehab Again Named Among the Nation’s Best Rehabilitation Facilities
MossRehab, the renowned physical and cognitive rehabilitation arm of Einstein Healthcare Network, has again been recognized by U.S. News & World Report magazine as one of the top 10 rehabilitation facilities in the U.S. MossRehab was also once again listed as the top ranked facility of its type in Pennsylvania. This is the twenty-fourth time MossRehab has made the list.
“Being ranked once again as a Top 10 facility by U.S. News & World Report recognizes our results-based reputation as a leader in blending rehabilitation care, technology, education and research,” says Alberto Esquenazi, MD, MossRehab’s Chief Medical Officer and John Otto Haas Chair of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. “Most importantly, I am very proud, as is everyone at MossRehab, of our ranking, because it stands as a testament to what we can do for our patients.”
According to U.S. News’ “Best Hospitals” list—which is produced by asking doctors throughout the country where they would send loved ones for treatment of a specific medical condition if money and location weren’t an issue—MossRehab ranks 10th in the nation for rehabilitation.
MossRehab has received accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for 15 areas of care, including rehabilitation of traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, strokes and amputations.
MossRehab’s outcomes—higher patient satisfaction rates and better scores in functional improvement (regaining mobility and self -care faster) than other rehabilitation providers—are a result of MossRehab’s unique ability to pair the expertise of our clinicians with more pioneering rehabilitation robotics and technologies than any other facility in the U.S.
MossRehab’s patients also benefit from the theory-driven research and clinical focused treatments derived at the Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute, which focuses on three main areas: cognitive neuroscience and rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury treatments and outcomes, and movement science and mobility rehabilitation.
Every year, MossRehab treats nearly 2,800 inpatients at six locations, including its flagship 130-bed facility in Elkins Park, Pa., and at Doylestown Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pa, Aria Bucks County in Langhorne, Pa., and MossRehab at Tabor Road and Aria Frankford in Philadelphia. In addition, MossRehab provides 180,000 outpatients visits each year at locations and community programs throughout the Greater Delaware Valley including Philadelphia, Collegeville, Norristown, Plymouth Meeting, Jenkintown, King of Prussia and East Norriton in Pennsylvania along with Woodbury, N.J., and Wilmington, Del.
