On Saturday, the Center for Advanced Liver Disease and Transplantation hosted Advances in Liver Disease 2015: A Year in Review, the region’s post review course presenting highlights from the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) The Liver Meeting®.

As an accredited provider, Einstein offers physicians, non-physician clinicians, nurses and support staff from across the region with a review course on the national AASLD conference.

More than 150 clinicians from across the tri-state area attended the continuing education symposium, which highlighted the latest research, treatments and advanced technologies for liver diseases.

The symposium featured a number of nationally and internationally recognized hepatologists and gastroenterologists, including presentations from Guadalupe Garcia-Tsao, MD, Professor of Medicine, Yale University and Chief, Digestive Diseases, VA-CT Healthcare System; Ira M. Jacobson, MD, Chairman of the Department of Medicine, Mount Sinai Beth Israel; and Mary E. Rinella, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Featuring presentations from members of Einstein’s Center for Advanced Liver Disease and Transplantation and more than 15 exhibitors, the symposium provides clinicians with both new and existing clinical data in order to prescribe the optimal course of treatment for patients.
