Here’s How to Grill Safely
It’s that time of year when we’re starting to fire up the outdoor grill, one of our favorite warm-weather activities—but safety comes first.
Did you know that nearly 9,000 home fires are started by grills every year? And in 2014 (the most recent year for which figures are available), 16,600 patients were treated in hospital emergency departments as a result of grill-related injuries—8,700 for treatment of burns.
