What Tweens and Teens Want to Know About the COVID Vaccine

By on 07/23/2021

Twice a week, the Einstein Healthcare Network’s Community Vaccination Site on Tabor Road focuses on immunizing the younger population – ages 12 to 15 – against the COVID-19 virus.

What started out as Tween Tuesdays recently expanded to include Thursdays as well. The site at 1325 Tabor Road is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parents and other adults also can be vaccinated on these days.

Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Call the vaccine hotline at 215-456-8088 for an appointment.

About 90 to 100 young people show up each week, and they have lots of questions.

Below, Eric Sachinwalla, MD, Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control for Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, offers answers to some common questions teens have raised about the vaccine.
